LAKE ELSINORE: Man’s Leg Severed in Hit and Run on 15 Freeway

“Investigation Ongoing”

LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA (August 29, 2017) – A man’s leg was severed after a hit and run on the 15 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)

Around 11:00 pm, a motorcyclist was experiencing issues on the northbound 15 Freeway. He pulled over to the right shoulder to call for assistance, then ran across the freeway for an unknown reason, where he was struck by a vehicle.

The impact was enough to sever the motorcyclists leg, and he was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar. The vehicle that struck the motorcyclist fled the scene, but officers were able to recover vehicle parts from the scene. The motorcyclists leg was not recovered, however, and no witnesses have come forward at this time.

“We wish a swift and steady recovery for the motorcyclist injured in this collision. Our prayers are with the injured party at this time,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.
