LA PUENTE, CALIFORNIA – A Mercedes crashed into a La Puente home, plowing through the wall of the bedroom of two young boys in the 500 block of Duff Avenue. (map)
The crash happened at about 2:15 a.m. The car hit a curb, went through a concrete wall and through the walls of the boys bedroom. Both boys, 11 and 14, sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
The driver of the Mercedes was able to get out of the car through the sunroof. He then fled the scene, but later turned himself in. The driver has been identified as 18-year-old Cesar Nunez. The accident is currently under investigation.
