“Investigation Ongoing”
LA HABRA, CALIFORNIA (December 8, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in the 1000 block of West Imperial Highway on Thursday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:30 pm on West Imperial Highway near South Idaho Street. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle in the roadway.
Responding emergency medical personnel found the pedestrian with fatal injuries and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle and a passenger both remained at the scene and did not suffer injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a California personal injury law firm.
