The accident happened around 8:45 am on Highway 2 near Foothill Boulevard. A man driving a blue Ford sedan pulled over to the shoulder and stepped out of his car to check on it, when he was struck by a second blue Ford sedan for unknown reasons.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the man with head injuries, with one of the sedans on the shoulder and another in the slow lane. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability in this accident.
