Car Hits Pedestrian on Highway 2, South of Foothill Boulevard
LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA – A man was injured after being hit by a sedan after he had gotten out of his vehicle to check on it. The accident occurred at around 8:45 a.m. yesterday morning.
According to the police report, The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that two Ford sedans, both blue in color, were stopped on the highway.
One sedan was on the slow lane, while the other was stopped on the right shoulder. The injured man stood on the center divider, as paramedics rushed to his aid. The incident is still under investigation.
“According to experts, drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
