MESA, ARIZONA (July 17, 2017) – Krista Buchanan was tragically identified as one of the two victims killed in a small plane crash in Arizona on Monday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

22 year old Krista Buchanan was a passenger in the single engine Lancair Evolution that began experiencing mechanical issues on Monday evening around 5:00 pm as it attempted to reach the Falcon Field. It crashed into the Longbow Golf Club course near the 10th hole, just short of the airport runway.

Krista Buchanan was tragically killed in the crash. The pilot was identified as 53 year old Alan Ram, from Scottsdale, Arizona. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability. Investigators have released the control tower audio between Ram and Falcon Field from just before the crash, and Ram indicated he had suffered an electrical issue that he had had on Friday as well.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all the family members and friends of Krista Buchanan affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
