KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE (December 22, 2016) – 13 year old Tracy Makoma has been identified as the victim hit by a school bus Thursday morning at the intersection of Breda Drive and The Hague, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 6:55 am at the intersection of The Hague and Breda Drive. A school bus carrying 27 students and driven by 72 year old William Carver Jr., struck 13 year old Tracy Makoma as she walked in the road. The bus’s mirror reportedly hit Tracy as William Carver attempted to avoid her.

Tracy Makoma was taken to UT Medical Center where she is reportedly in stable condition. The accident remains under investigation as authorities attempt to decipher cause and liability.
