KIOWA COUNTY: Martin Kruse Killed after Head-On Collision with Semi Truck on U.S. 43 near Bucklin

KIOWA COUNTY, KANSAS (December 12, 2016) – 58 year old Martin Kruse was killed in a tragic accident on Monday afternoon on U.S. 54, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 2:30 on the eastbound side of U.S. 54. Martin Kruse was operating a 1996 Lincoln Town Car near Bucklin when he veered into opposing lanes for an unknown reason and struck a semi-truck head on.

Martin Kruse was rushed to the Kiowa County hospital by responding paramedics, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was killed. The semi truck driver was not injured, and has been identified as 55 year old Kendall Turner of Larned.
