WAPAKONETA, OHIO (December 1, 2017) –Kimberly Rae Simpson has been identified as the woman that was tragically struck by a train and killed in Wapakoneta on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Auglaize Street, where it turns into Ridge Street. A CSX train struck a 32 year old woman at the crossing at around 5:30 pm.

32 year old Kimberly Rae Simpson was tragically identified as the woman killed in the accident. Kimberly is survived by her son Brice, her partner Richard, and her mother Rosetta. The accident remains under investigation, but initial reports indicate that the crossing has no gate arms or lights, just warning signs.
