COLUMBUS, OHIO (July 26, 2017) – 19 year old Keziah Lewis has been identified as one of those injured in an accident at the Ohio State Fair on Wednesday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:30 pm at the state fair in Columbus, Ohio. Keziah Lewis was riding the “Fire Ball”, a pendulum style ride, when something went wrong. The ride seemed to be going too fast when someone flew off, causing the ride operator to trigger the emergency stop. A chair arm fell off shortly after, injuring more people.
A total of seven people were injured, including Keziah Lewis. An 18 year old was also killed in the accident. An investigation is ongoing into the accident, and the ride has been shut down, as well as any others across the country in operation.
