JURUPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (March 20, 2017) – A woman was seriously injured on Monday morning in a pedestrian versus car accident on Pedley Road, south of Ben Nevis Boulevard. (map)
The accident happened around 6:15 a.m., when a female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while she was walking along Pedley Road. The woman had to be pulled out from underneath the vehicle by CAL fire and Riverside County Firefighters and then transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are currently investigating the accident to determine the cause and liability.
“According to experts, drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
