JULIAN, CALIFORNIA (December 24, 2016) – Rosario Garcia Ibarra was tragically killed in a rollover accident on Saturday on the Great Southern Overland Stage Route, according to a local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 11:30 am in Julian. A 2003 Nissan Xterra heading south on the Great Southern Overland Stage Route was being driven by 38 year old Rosario Garcia Ibarra. Other occupants of the SUV included 47 year old Christine Wagner, and two children. Rosario Ibarra lost control for unknown reasons, perhaps skidding on a puddle of water, when the vehicle overturned.

Rosario Garcia Ibarra was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash, as well as Christine Wagner. The two children on board were both hospitalized with unknown injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
