FARMINGVILLE, NEW YORK (August 10, 2017) – A 16 year old boy was tragically killed in an accident on Thursday morning at an off season football practice at his high school, according to a local news source. (map)
Joshua Mileto, 16, was engaging in a strength and conditioning camp at the Sachem East High School in Farmingville on August 10th. Around 8:30 am, a group of students were carrying a log over their head as part of an exercise. The log reportedly fell and struck the teenager in the head.
Joshua Mileto was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
