“Small Plane Accident”
JOHNSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (December 31, 2016) – A small plane crashed in a rural area in Johnson County near Vienna on Saturday, claiming the lives of four people, according to a local news source. (map)
The plane, identified as a single engine Piper PA-28, crashed sometime around 5:45 pm on New Year’s Eve, in a wooded area in Johnson County. Four people were on board, including the pilot at the time of the crash.
One of the four victims was identified as 37 year old Krista Green. The accident remains under investigation by the FAA, the NTSB, and the manufacturers of the small plane.
