FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (June 6, 2017) – Joanna Delgado has been identified as the teenager that was killed in a crash on Sunday evening on Highway 145, according to a local news source. (map)
Just after 7:00 pm, a car driven by 18 year old Joanna Delgado veered over the center line on Highway 145 near Elkhorn Avenue for an unknown reason. Joanne’s vehicle then crashed head on into another car.
18 year old Joanna Delgado, who was pregnant at the time, was able to give birth to her baby at the scene, before tragically succumbing to her injuries. Her baby was rushed to a hospital and sadly also succumbed to their injuries on Monday morning. The driver of the other car, Adriana Romero, was also killed in the accident. The only survivor was Joanne’s boyfriend, a 16 year old who remains unidentified. He is in critical condition at a local hospital. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
