GRAYS HARBOR, WASHINGTON (May 27, 2017) – One man was killed and another was badly injured in a hit and run that authorities believe may have been intention on Saturday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:30 am at the Donkey Creek campground. A white Chevrolet Silverado 4×4 pickup truck entered the campground and began doing doughnuts, endangering some of the campers at the site. After repeated attempts by the campers to get the pickup truck to stop, the driver of the pickup backed over two men in what some are calling an intentional act.
20 year old Jimmy Smith-Kramer was rushed to a Grays Harbor hospital, where he tragically died on Sunday evening. 19 year old Harvey Anderson was injured as well, but was able to leave the hospital on Sunday after being treated. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene and attempted to conceal the pickup truck, but both the vehicle and the driver were located by authorities. The driver was identified as 31 year old James Walker, a resident of Hoquiam. The investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time.
