PASO ROBLES, CALIFORNIA (April 6, 2017) – A man was killed in an accident on Highway 46 on Friday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
A semi truck heading eastbound on Highway 46 near Centre Street around 2:25 pm, drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver attempted to over-correct and crossed into westbound lanes, striking a Dodge Dakota and then a 2014 GMC Sierra before overturning. The impact also pushed the Dodge Dakota into a 2016 Ford F-150 and a Honda Odyssey.
The 2014 Sierra’s driver, 68 year old Jesus Acebedo, was tragically killed in the accident. The driver of the Honda Odyssey, 61 year old Brian Garard Kelly, suffered injuries in the accident. The drivers of the Dakota and the Ford were both uninjured in the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time, and the driver of the semi-truck has been identified as Charles S. Celaya.
