“Train Involved in Collision”
JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY (March 4, 2017) – At least one person was injured on Saturday morning when a light rail train was involved in an accident with a vehicle on 2nd Street, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:15 am. A Hudson Bergen Light Rail train was struck by a car on 2nd Street for an unknown reason, resulting in damages to the train as well as the vehicle.
There were ten passengers on board the train at the time of the accident, and at least one reported suffering a neck injury as a result of the impact. The condition of those in the vehicle is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
