RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (April 30, 2017) – Jeramine Horn was tragically identified as the victim killed in a Riverside T.G.I. Fridays on Sunday, according to a local news source. (map)
The tragedy unfolded inside the restaurant inside the Galleria at Tyler on Sunday evening. 34 year old Jeramine Horn was visiting the restaurant when he became involved in an altercation with a 25 year old man later identified as Denzel Cooley. After their initial confrontation, Denzel went to his car, retrieved two knives, and stabbed Jeramine Horn several times.
Horn’s family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries and died a short time later. Police later arrested 25 year old Denzel Horn on suspicion of murder. The investigation is still ongoing into this horrible incident.
This is not the first death at this TGI Fridays. In 2009, 20 year old Michael Castillo was overserved alcohol despite not being of legal drinking age at the same TGI Fridays, just before Castillo stabbed 33 year old Orlando Jordan to death. The family of Orlando Jordan was awarded 40 million dollars by a Southern California jury after a lawsuit was filed. The owner of TGI Fridays, Briad Group, was held 55 percent responsible for the accident, which meant they were required to pay over half the judgement amount of 40 million. Michael Castillo and another party were responsible for the additional 45 percent of the verdict.
Several of the attorneys at Lexton Law Firm assisted in the case for the family of Orlando Jordan in 2009, and were instrumental in attaining the $40 million verdict awarded to Orlando Jordan’s family.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends as they cope with such tragic loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all parties affected in this tragedy as they try to piece together what happened.”
