KINGSTON, ILLINOIS (September 12, 2017) – Three people were injured in a semi truck accident on Tuesday in Kingston, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened at the intersection of Baseline Road and Five Points Road. A semi truck driven by a 24 year old man was heading eastbound on Baseline Road around 8:00 pm. He failed to yield to a vehicle that was heading northbound on Five Points Road, and the vehicle struck the semi truck.
The driver of the vehicle, 39 year old Jamie Mitchell from DeKalb, and the juvenile in the front seat were both airlifted from the scene to a local hospital, and a juvenile in the backseat was taken by ambulance to the same hospital. The driver of the semi truck, Rodson Barnett, was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign.
