PHILLIPS, WISCONSIN (July 4, 2017) – James Francis was identified as one of the six victim killed in a small plane crash just outside the Town of Harmony in Wisconsin on July 1st, according to a local news source. (map)
The small plane had taken off from Chicago and was reportedly en route to Chicago for a fishing trip, carrying two father/son duos, and two more passengers. The plane crashed around 3:21 pm just after the pilot reported experiencing weather phenomenon.
James Francis, a 63 year old resident of Norco, California, was tragically killed in the accident. Also killed was father son duo Thomas Demauro, 56, and Kyle Demauro, 21, and second father son duo Charles Tomlitz and George Tomlitz. Also on board was Kevin James King, a 70 year old man from Bensenville, Illinois. The crash remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liablity. Two of those on board were identified as workers from the Tioga Elementary school and school district.
