BARRINGTON HILLS, ILLINOIS (October 7, 2017) – James Wagner has tragically died from injuries sustained in a September 27th train accident, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on September 27th around 7:00 pm near Route 14 and Kelsey Road. James Wagner’s car was reportedly about 100 feet southeast from the crossing when it was struck by the train. The impact pushed the car into James, who was standing outside the vehicle.

James Wagner was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and sadly on the morning of October 7th, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.

The area around the Barrington railroad tracks has a gruesome history. In April, a pedestrian was struck at the same crossing and killed, and in August a freight train struck and killed a pedestrian nearby.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
