JACKSONVILLE: Bruce Gordon Krost Killed in Industrial Accident at Wheel-1 Inc on Philips Highway

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA (January 2, 2017) – A worker killed in an industrial accident at a business on Philips Highway on Monday has been identified as Bruce Gordon Krost, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:00 am at Wheel-1 at 7380 Philips Highway. 74 year old Bruce Gordon Krost, an employee of Liberty Lighting, was 60 feet up on a scissor lift changing lighting when the lift fell over, spilling Bruce Gordon Krost onto the ground.

Krost struck his head on the concrete floor. Bruce Gordon Krost was transported to a UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries, and tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
