JACKSON, MICHIGAN (February 22, 2017) – Two people were killed in a tragic accident on Wednesday morning in Jackson County on Interstate 94, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 94, near Sargent Road. A passenger car carrying a male and a female was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when they collided head on with a semi-truck at the scene. The female driver of the car and the male passenger were both tragically killed in the accident.

The driver of the truck sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
