IRWINDALE, CALIFORNIA (March 17, 2017) – Two cars were involved in an accident on Interstate 605 near Ramona Boulevard on Friday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)

The accident happened around 8:59 am on the southbound side of Interstate 605 near Ramona Boulevard. A black Honda Civic and a white Lexus were involved in a collision for an unknown reason, and one of the drivers fled the scene on foot immediately after the accident.

Paramedics responded to the scene to tend to anyone injured in the accident, and the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
