Police Reports stated that at approximately 2:45 a.m., fire authorities responded to the scene to find one of the male drivers trapped inside his vehicle. Fire Captain Steve Dohman of the Orange County Fire Authority, said it took around 25 minutes to get the male driver out of the vehicle.
The injured male was taken to the UCI Medical Trauma Center in Orange to be treated. There was also an injured female passenger in the first vehicle and another injured male driver in the second vehicle that was also involved in the accident. These two injured persons were quickly transported to the OC Global Medical Center in Santa Ana for treatment of their injuries.
All three injured persons in this accident are in their late twenties and early thirties. The extent of their injuries is not clear at this time. The Irvine Police Department is still conducting the investigation.
“Many people don’t realize they can suffer a traumatic brain injury in a car accident even when there has been no head impact,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, an Irvine car accident and personal injury law firm. “Indeed, the symptoms often show up later when the victim can’t remember names or events as well. It’s important to see a doctor and treat this type of injury soon after a collision.”
