IRVINE, CALIFORNIA (January 24, 2017) – According to the Irvine Police Department, 22-year-old motorcyclist Ryan Quay was killed on Tuesday in a collision on Jeronimo Road and Alton Parkway. (map)
Irvine Police Department spokeswoman Kim Mohr reported that the accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. Mohr was pronounced dead at the scene due to the impact of the car.
Mohr states that the driver of the car was uninjured and remained at the scene to cooperate with the Irvine police.
“Motorists must be aware of motorcyclists on the road at all times. They may not always appear in rear view mirrors and often end up in blind spots causing drivers to completely miss them, creating potential for a possible accident.”
