Six People Killed, Four Were Pedestrians, Killed in Inland Empire Accidents Over the Weekend
INLAND EMPIRE, California – Several traffic accidents occurred over this past weekend, claiming the lives of six people. Four of them were pedestrians. The pedestrian accidents occurred near the cities of Corona, Victorville, and San Bernardino.
Rosa Guzman, 55, was one of the pedestrians that was killed in by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday night in Home Gardens.
Another pedestrian was hit on Highland Avenue in the Muscoy area where he was hit and killed by a driver that did not stop afterwards.
Two more pedestrians, Robert Costere, 66, of Aptos, Califronia and Enrico Rojo, 29, of Ontario, California, were both killed in unrelated accidents as well.
The CHP is investigating further a deadly Cajalco Road accident that occurred east of Corona Road on Saturday evening.
In addition, a passenger of a vehicle, Christopher Ashe, 47, was killed in a two-car collision that occurred on Palmdale Road in the city of Victorville. The surviving driver was suspected of DUI.
Another deadly accident involved a man named Mario Martinez Sr., 57, who jumped to his death from a transition ramp at the 60-91-215 interchange in the city of Riverside.
