INDIO: Parked Car Rolls and Kills Woman in 4900 block of Sondgroth Court

INDIO, CALIFORNIA (March 6, 2017) – A woman was killed in a tragic accident on Monday evening on Sondgroth Court, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened just after 7:00 pm in the 4900 block of Sondgroth Court, near Highway 74. A parked, empty, silver Toyota Corolla rolled backwards in a driveway and struck a 68 year old woman who owns the car.

The woman, identified as Susan Smith Evans, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of her injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
