
“DUI driver arrested”
INDIO, CALIFORNIA (January 30, 2017) – According to the Indio Police Department, 39-year-old Keyon Parks was killed and a passenger was injured in a DUI collision on Amado Road and Sunrise Way. (map)
The IPD reported that a vehicle, driven by 50-year-old Robert Garcia Jr., was attempting to make a left onto Amado Road from Sunrise Way when he collided with an SUV at 5:49 p.m. His front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while his back-seat passenger was hospitalized with major injuries. The driver and passenger of the SUV sustained moderate injuries.
The IPD stated that Garcia is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs causing injury.
