“Pedestrian Injured”

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA (February 1, 2017) – An elderly woman was hospitalized on Wednesday night after she was hit by a car on Springdale Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:00 pm when an elderly woman was crossing Springdale Street near Warner Avenue, around the flood control channel. She was then struck by a car traveling northbound on Springdale Street.

The elderly woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The accident was not classified as a hit and run, and initial reports indicate the driver remained at the scene. The accident is under investigation at this time.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
