At the time of the crash, the Chrysler was heading southbound on Springdale and the Ford was heading east on Edinger. The impact forced the Chrysler into a power pole, knocking it over.
An 18 year old woman driving the Ford was ejected from the car during the accident and sustained major injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, and her passenger was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Chrysler, 27 year old Darius Roberts, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The accident remains under active investigation.
“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. Drunk drivers continue to endanger the safety of all other drivers,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury attorney.
