Hunter James Costello Hit by Train and Killed

“Investigation Ongoing”

REMINGTON, VIRGINIA (October 16, 2017) – Hunter James Costello was identified as the man that was killed in a train accident on Monday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:15 pm in the 1100 block of Remington Road (also known as Route 656), near Meadfield Drive. A 2006 Chevrolet SUV was traveling north on Remington Road when it turned into a private driveway and across railroad tracks. The car was then struck by a southbound Amtrak train.

The driver of the SUV was identified as Hunter James Costello, a 19 year old from Bealton. Hunter was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. Initial investigations indicate that while the crossing is marked, it does not appear to have gate arms or lights. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
