HOUSTON, TEXAS (July 13, 2017) – A contract worker was killed on Thursday in an accident at the Motiva refinery in Arthur, Texas, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Thursday between the refinery and the terminal in Arthur, Texas. The man was reportedly a employee of Newtron Beaumont which is an instrumentation and electrical contractor in Beaumont, Texas, and was working in the area when a crane fell onto him.

The man was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The exact circumstances of the accident are unknown at this time, but the accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability.
