HOOPA, CALIFORNIA (May 15, 2017) – A Toyota sedan was involved in a rollover accident on Monday morning off SR 96, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)

The accident happened around 7:49 am off State Route 96 near Trinity River. A Toyota Camry overturned for an unknown reason, landing on its side off the roadway.

Two people inside the vehicle were able to extricate themselves from the vehicle, but sustained injuries. The force of the impact was enough to cause the airbags to deploy. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
