HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA (January 22, 2017) – Heidy Cobar has been identified as the victim of a fatal accident on Sunday on Highway 152, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:06 pm on Highway 152 near San Felipe Road. A 2002 Mercedes Benz driven by a 43 year old woman veered into oncoming lanes for unknown reasons, colliding with a 2005 Ford pickup truck heading eastbound. The 40 year old man driving the Ford pickup truck lost control from the impact and crashed into an eastbound 2012 Scion and caught on fire.
The driver of the 2002 Mercedes, 43 year old Heidy Cobar, was tragically killed in the accident. Her passenger, a 69 year old man from Pico Rivera, was hospitalized with major injuries. The Ford driver and his 42 year old female passenger suffered serious injuries and were also hospitalized. The 23 year old Scion driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
