“Three Vehicle Collision”
HEMET, CALIFORNIA (July 24, 2017) – Two people were injured in a three car collision on Stetson Avenue near Kirby Street Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The collision occurred approximately before 10:00 p.m. A 1997 Infiniti Q4, driven by a 31-year-old male, was traveling eastbound on Stetson Avenue when he struck a Hemet patrol car traveling westbound. A Chrysler 300, driven by a 25-year-old male, collided with the two vehicles shortly after. The collision caused the Chrysler lose control and crash into a pole, according to CHP.
the driver of the Chrysler sustained major injuries. The Hemet police sergeant driving the patrol vehicle sustained minor injuries. th driver of the Infiniti suffered no injuries.
No other details of the accident were immediately available. An investigation is ongoing to determine if drugs, alcohol, or fatigue factors in the collision.
