HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA (March 6, 2017) – A big rig, a Honda SUV, and a Honda sedan were involved in a collision on Interstate 880 near Washington Avenue on Monday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
Around 12:15 p.m., a big rig and a gray Honda sedan were involved in a collision on the northbound side of Interstate 880 near Washington Avenue. A third vehicle, a Honda SUV, may also have been involved. The sedan, initially described as a Honda Civic and later changed to a Honda Accord, reportedly sustained major damage in the accident.
An ambulance responded to the scene to tend to anyone injured in the accident; however the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
