The fatal accident occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m. A Honda Civic, driven by a 25-year-old female driver, traveling westbound on Boston Road struck the woman pedestrian at the 100 block of Hampton Road, according to CHP officer Dan Jacowitz. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The identity of the woman pedestrian was not yet released.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. CHP has concluded that drugs and/or alcohol were not actors in the fatality.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.”
