“Overturned Car Crash”
HARMONY, CALIFORNIA (March 4, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported a rollover accident on Cabrillo Highway 1 near Harmony Headlands State Park, Saturday afternoon. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. A Honda, driven by 36-year-old Sabrina Maria Harper, was traveling northbound on Cabrillo Highway 1 north of Villa Creek Road. Harper missed the left turn for the Harmony Headlands State Park entrance, she slowed down and pulled over onto the shoulder. Harper then attempted to make a U-turn onto the southbound lanes when she turned into the path of a Hyundai, driven by 21-year-old Armando Gabriel Villareal. Villareal was unable to avoid the collision and struck the left side of the Honda. Harper’s vehicle spun out of control and overturned onto its roof. The Hyundai lost control and rested to the northeast section of the highway, according to CHP spokesman Jordan Richards.
Harper sustained injuries to her right hand and pain in her neck and shoulders. Villareal was transported to the hospital due to pain of his hip, stomach, and tailbone sustained in the accident. The passenger in the Hyundai identified as Kendra Marie Staub suffered pain to hr neck ans left wrist. Staub was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. CHP is currently investigating the accident to determine the cause and liability.
