The accident happened at the Village’s Public Works Treatment Plant on Friday. 50 year old Steven D. Daley from Streamwood, a longtime public works employee, was riding a mower when it overturned for an unknown reason, pinning Steven Daley under it in an undetermined amount of water.
Steven Daley was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations by the Cook County medical examiners office, Steven Daley drowned after being pinned under the mower. An investigation has been started by local authorities, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also been notified.
