“Wrongful death accident”

HAMILTON CITY, CALIFORNIA (January 22, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Brett Silva was killed on Sunday in a head-on collision on Highway 32 and 6th Street, just west of Chico. (map)

The CHP reported that a Toyota Camry, driven by Silva, was traveling eastbound on CA-32 around 5:00 p.m. when a Ford Fusion, driven by 24-year-old  Ramon Barrera Jr., was traveling westbound and speeding in and out of traffic.

The CHP states that Barrera was merging with “insufficient room” for other motorists and Silva was unable to avoid the crash. Silva was pronounced dead at the scene while his two passengers and children, Isabella and Ian Silva were transported to a hospital with major injuries.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
