HALIFAX, VIRGINIA (December 22, 2016) – A 19 year old girl was killed in a tragic accident on Thursday evening on Timberlea Village Parkway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Timberlea Village Parkway, around 9:00 pm. A Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency truck was responding to an emergency call when it collided head on with a Chevrolet Malibu carrying a 19 year old girl.

The teenager in the car was tragically pronounced dead. None of the firefighters inside the truck reported any injuries. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
