“Skateboarder Killed in Vehicle Crash”

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA (December 30, 2016) – 25 year old James Johnson was killed after a vehicle collision on Halliburton Road and Hacienda Boulevard on Friday, December 30, 2016. (map)

The fatal accident occurred approximately at 12:13 P.M. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson, Johnson was riding his skateboard westbound on the south side of the sidewalk. Johnson entered into the intersection when the driver of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, identified as 22 year old Samantha Mendoza of Arcadia, fatally struck Johnson.

Mendoza stopped to give aid to Johnson. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
