HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA (December 30, 2016) – A man identified as James Andrew Johnson was struck by a car and killed while skateboarding at the intersection of Hacienda Boulevard and Haliburton Road on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident occurred around 12:13 pm when a man in his 20s, identified as James Andrew Johnson, was riding a skateboard at the intersection of Haliburton Road and Hacienda Boulevard. He was then struck by a 2012 Hyundai Elantra driven by 22 year old Samantha Mendoza.

James Andrew Johnson was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics and medical personnel. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
