CHP Investigating Head-On Crash
GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA (December 12, 2016) – At least one person was injured following a head-on car accident at the intersection of Highway 99 and Riviera Road on Monday, reported the California Highway Patrol. (map)
According to the CHP report, the crash occurred at 5:12 p.m. on State Route 99 and Riviera Road near Live Oak. The vehicles involved were described as a Toyota Tunda pickup and a Nissan 2-door car.
One of the vehicles was entering CA-99 while the other was driving southbound when they crashed into one another.
The report indicated one person suffered moderate injuries as a result of the accident. It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the crash.
Emergency medical personnel and law enforcement responded to the scene to handle the rescue and manage traffic
The California Highway Patrol will issue a report after a thorough analysis of the evidence.
