The accident happened around 8:00 pm on the southbound side of Bennett Road near Brunswick Road. A drunk driver was heading southbound in a 2008 Mazda with two passengers in the car, when he swerved into a tree for unknown reasons.
The front seat passenger, identified as a 23 year old, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. A rear seat passenger identified as a 24 year old man from Rocklin was injured and was rushed to Sutter Roseville via ambulance. The driver, Deno Howard Mann, suffered only minor injuries and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. Drunk drivers continue to endanger the safety of all other drivers, passengers, and pedestrians,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury attorney.
