GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA (February 22, 2017) – A woman was killed in a tragic accident on Wednesday afternoon on Allen Drive, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. near the Home Depot on Allen Drive. A woman driving a Buick LeSabre was struck on the driver’s side of her car by a 34-year-old man driving a Chrysler 300S. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.

The other involved driver was taken to the hospital, but he was released a short time later. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
