GLENDORA, CALIFORNIA (May 9, 2017) – A motorcyclist was struck by a tire on the 210 Freeway on Tuesday, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)

The accident happened around 1:38 pm on the westbound side of the 210 Freeway near Glendora Avenue. A black Ford pickup truck pulling a boat trailer was involved in a collision with a 2001 white GMC Yukon. During the collision, the black pickup truck lost a tire which struck a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries in the accident, and paramedics rushed to the scene. The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown at this time. The accident remains under active investigation, and initial reports show the Ford pickup truck may have fled the scene after the incident.
