GLENDORA, CALIFORNIA (February 16, 2017) – A man was killed on Thursday morning after a three vehicle accident on the 210 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:27 a.m. on the westbound side of the 210 Freeway, near Bonnie Cove Avenue. A 2003 GMC Envoy was rear-ended by a 2003 Dodge Ram, which forced the GMC into the back of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. All three vehicles began traveling to the right shoulder when, for an unknown reason, the GMC swerved up the dirt embankment and then back across all traffic lanes and crashed into the center divider.
The 76-year-old driver of the GMC was found unconscious and Good Samaritans at the scene attempted CPR. Paramedics responded immediately and rushed the injured man to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital, where he tragically was pronounced dead. The driver of the Dodge Ram and the Ford pickup truck reported no injuries.
Police are currently investigating the accident to determine the cause.
